WHAT IS NATIONAL PARK


A National Park is the area set aside from the protection and preservation of its outside scenery, flora and fauna in the natural state. It is accessible to the public for recreation, education and research activities, subject to such restriction, as the management may impose. The construction of access road, tourist facilities and building in the National Park must not impair the park objective. Forestry activities must also be controlled in the same way.


The following acts are prohibited in the national park.


1. Hunting, shooting, trapping, killing or capturing of any wild animal inside the park or within three mile radius of its boundaries.

2. Firings of the gun or any other act which may disturb the wild life or interfere with there breeding places.

3. Filling, tapping, burning or in any way damaging or destroying, collecting or removing any plant or tree there from.

4. Clearing and breaking up any land for cultivation, mining or for any other purpose.

5. Polluting water flouring in and through the National Park.


Request


1. Your identity is better for your safety.

2. Its requirement of the forest area to be with groups.

3. Keep children with you.

4. Let animal in their own area.

5. Restrict animal to there natural eating in forest.

6. Protect damage or destroying the park.

7. Avoid going on the non important way.

8. Develop communication with union.

9. Behind you just leave your footstep nothing else.

11. Avoid throwing letters collecting little in the shopping bag and throw that in the dustbin.

AVOID


1. Smoking.

2. Destroying umbrellas and benches and writing something on it.

3. Use of fire stuff.

4. Throwing rock in the forest it can hurt any wild animal.

5. To bring any pet animal like cat dog in the park is strictly prohibited.




PRECAUTIONS


1. Keep the First Aid stuff with you.

2. Weather of the varray mainly remains cool so do keep woolen clothes.

3. Due to the presences of the varrcy above the sea level the sun rays react on the skin so do keep away the lotion or cream with you.

4. Be careful while going toward the pond and the river because the water at the edge can be deep enough.

5. If you are traveling in the car do check your car and make it check by the mechanic before drive.

6. Do keep 2-3 bottles of water because engine are hot early in the mountain area, that water can be ease to cool the engine.

7. Before making stay on any place makes sure that all service is available for stay otherwise you would go to that work.

8. The temperature goes on peak at the night usually so if you want to do comparing do keep woolen comforts with you else if you are staying in any hotels atleasts keep sorts of clothes which can protect you.

9. Do keep a strong battery torch.

10. Do keep an umbrella with you because weather can change at time.

11. Be care full by touching herbs in the forest because it may hurt you.



AYUBIA NATIONAL PARK


A.N.P is located in NWFP of Pakistan it is the small national park located at 26 kilometer from the Murree, hills stations established in 1984. It has been developed as a resort complex from a combination of 5 forests (Began Forest, Darwaza Forest, Balokot Forest, Birote Forest and Tajwal Forest). Since there are twelve Villages (Tapa, Birst, Mukshpuri, Lahur, Ayubia, Kuza Gali, Tauheed Gali, Malaach, Nathia Gali, Namli,Miira and Miran Jani) and four major town around it.


The Ayubia National Park is a forest located with the majestic Murree hills. Wildlife is abundant here and not only is it a refuge to leopard and black bear but it is a wonderful place for the bird watching.


Generally people have the idea in the mind that Ayubia National Park comprises of just Ayubia and the “Donga Street” but the idea is never complete. Coming from  Abottabad, it starts from “Bara Gali” and end up with “Khaira Gali”. On the left of the road you will find the area of the National Park, whereas the right side has the private area.


“Bara Gali” is at 28 km from Abottabad and 36 km from Murree.


“Khaira Gali” is at 55 km from Abottabad and 9 km from Murree.


A.N.P comes in the area of Galiyaat coming front hr Murree, the area of Galiyaat start from “Baariyan” and ends up with “Bara Gali. On the right and left, both side of the road you will find the area of “Galiyaat”.



Main Reason of Developed Ayubia National Park


Specially for the growth of the three unique type of animal i.e “Monal Pheasant”, “Black Bears” and “Musk Deer”, the area have been served as the National Park. For his reproduction of these animals and to save the growth of that animal, the places like “Lala Zar Safari Zoo” as well known.


Originally the park stood at the area of 857 acres but in the 1998 it was expanded to cover the area of 3371.88 hector.


MANAGEMENT


The park has been managed by NWFP Wildlife department under the 1975 NWFP Wildlife Act. The headquarter of the park is at Dunga Gali which is situated at the distance of 35 km from Abottabad and 29 km from Murre.


HISTORY


Ayubia National Park was established in1984 in an east corner of NWFP a province of Pakistan. Since then it has been managed by the NWFP Wildlife department. The Purpose of established it was to conserve and protected temperate forest.



BIRDS


The park harbors unto 203 species of birds. Birds belonging to 13 orders were recorded of which 12.9% were permanent resident. 4.5% were winter migrant, 12.3% were resident attitudinal migrant, 18.9% were passage migrant, 29.2% were summer migrant, 10.4 % were occasional, 10.4% were vagrant and 2.6% pass through there aerial route . PLANTS


The park hold 757 Vascular Plants, on 30 are known for their medical properties. Many of there are used in the treatment of Jaundice, Stomach ulcers, Shane bite, internal infection, Diabetes, Chambal and more. Some plantar known to have anti- concerons affected as well. Also some of use as biological insecticides and pesticides, mostly due to their insect repellant nature.

CLIMATE


The climate of the park is cold in the summer, but harsh in the winter. While it remains in the only placidly hot in May and in June, the cold set in when the monsoon comes to the lash in last July and August. In July and August fog created and unforgettable seen.

In the winter cold increase in severity gradually until the west winds bring rains, which eventually turn into snow. The park remains the snow capped through the later part of winter.


Nearest Airport: Islamabad

Nearest Railway: Rawalpindi and HAvelian

Nearest Bus stand: Murree, Rawalpindi, Abbotabad.



WHEN TO GO


The month of March till October is the best month for the journey. It is because in this month the weather is very pleasant. Sudden rains and fog makes the weather more pleasant and cloudy.


If you are fond of snowfall, then the month of November December, January and February are the best for you. But many times you will find the way after the Murree, blocked due to this snowfall.


HOW TO REACH


Coming from  Abottabad, it starts from “Bara Gali” and end up with “Khaira Gali”. On the left of the road you will find the area of the National Park, whereas the right side has the private area.

“Khaira Gali” is at 55 km from Abottabad and 9 km from Murree.


From Rawalpindi, through Murree you can easily reach till National Park. From Rawalpindi (From Faizabad Lari Adda) you can easily get the public transport to reach directly at the National Park or otherwise you can first reach Murree and then from there you can go forward till the park



In Abottabad also you may find separate hi-roof and wagon stand for the National park and different places over there.


From both the places you may find your transport, one hour before the sunset. After the sunset you are unable to find any, because it becomes to difficult to drive in the dark and the driver avoid to drive and to travel.
